Public Health Expert – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a Public Health Subject Matter Expert to work on an hourly, remote contractor basis. You will review AI‑generated public‑health responses, create high‑quality content, and provide detailed feedback that improves the accuracy and safety of AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training prompts and gold‑standard answers covering epidemiology, policy, prevention, and risk communication.
• Evaluate, rank, and compare AI‑generated answers for correctness, clarity, and scientific rigor.
• Identify and flag inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, bias, and misleading evidence interpretation.
• Fact‑check public‑health claims and write clear, step‑by‑step explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (MPH preferred) or equivalent experience in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in public‑health settings such as government, NGOs, academia, or health‑care systems.
• Strong ability to reason about disease processes, prevention strategies, screening, vaccination, and health‑behavior frameworks.
• Excellent attention to detail when fact‑checking and assessing safety of recommendations.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency.
