Radiologist Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a board‑eligible Radiologist to work remotely as a Subject Matter Expert, reviewing AI‑generated imaging responses and creating high‑quality training content. This hourly contractor position supports SME Careers in improving the safety and accuracy of AI models used in medical imaging.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated radiology answers for clinical correctness, safety, clarity and adherence to prompts.
• Create detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers covering imaging appropriateness, protocols, differential diagnosis and reporting concepts.
• Identify and flag unsafe imaging recommendations, bias, or inaccurate clinical information.
• Provide written feedback, model solutions and step‑by‑step reasoning to improve AI performance.

Required profile

• MD or DO with completed Diagnostic Radiology residency and board eligibility or certification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional radiology experience in academic, community, teleradiology or subspecialty practice.
• Strong clinical reasoning, imaging modality selection and protocol optimization.
• Excellent safety judgment regarding contrast, radiation, pregnancy, renal function and anticoagulation.
• Fluent English (C1 level) with meticulous attention to detail.
