Structural Engineer – Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer – Site Supervisor to support the construction supervision of a major highway and road infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will oversee structural works during construction, ensuring all activities follow approved designs, technical specifications, contract requirements, quality standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the construction of structural elements such as bridges, retaining walls, overpasses and underpasses, ensuring compliance with the DB Contract, technical specifications and approved detailed design.
• Monitor construction activities to guarantee adherence to quality standards, safety regulations and project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with expertise in large concrete structures or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years cumulative civil engineering experience, including at least 6 years on structural elements such as bridges, retaining walls, overpasses and underpasses.
• Experience in a similar supervisory capacity on at least two projects involving concrete or steel structures of comparable nature.
• At least one year of relevant experience working in developing countries and fluency in written and spoken English.
