Traffic Engineer – Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traffic Engineer – Site Supervisor to join our highway road construction project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate traffic engineering and traffic management activities throughout the construction phase, ensuring that all measures are implemented safely, efficiently and in line with approved drawings, specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate traffic engineering and traffic management activities on site.
• Implement traffic control measures, temporary traffic arrangements and road safety systems according to the project’s traffic management plan.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, DB contract requirements and applicable standards.
• Manage traffic flow and safety during construction to minimise disruption to existing traffic.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in traffic engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of cumulative civil engineering experience, including highway road construction supervision.
• At least 10 years of experience in traffic management for highway or large road projects.
• Proven experience on at least two similar highway road projects in a comparable role.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
