Pharmacist Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position involves working as a Pharmacist Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review AI‑generated medication and pharmacy responses, as well as to generate expert pharmacy content. You will evaluate reasoning quality, clinical problem‑solving steps, and provide precise written feedback to improve AI model safety and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content: create detailed prompts and gold‑standard pharmacy responses across therapeutics, drug information, counseling, and medication safety topics.
• Optimize AI performance: evaluate and rank AI responses to improve safety, clinical correctness, clarity, and contextual relevance.
• Ensure model integrity: test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, and bias; validate reliability across use cases and patient populations.

Required profile

• PharmD or BPharm/MPharm with active pharmacist licensure (or eligibility).
• 5+ years of professional pharmacy experience in community, hospital, ambulatory, clinical, or managed‑care settings.
• Strong pharmacotherapy reasoning and ability to explain clinical recommendations based on evidence.
• Exceptional attention to detail for fact‑checking drug content and identifying unsafe assumptions; minimum C1 English proficiency.
