Foundry Supply-Chain & Procurement Engineer

About the role

Touchdown is building the manufacturing capability for advanced storage and memory chips. The Foundry Supply-Chain & Procurement Engineer will source all materials, equipment, services and external process steps required for a bounded customer product, evaluating options to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Compare merchant suppliers, materials, tool lead times, services, rights and total installed cost.
• Source tools, materials, substrates, assembly, test and service options against a single specification.
• Assess lead time, cost, rights, qualification burden and single-source risk for each critical input.
• Coordinate commercial terms and build supplier-risk maps for single-source parts, long-lead tools and outsourced steps.
• Track quote assumptions and engineering approvals to keep commercial progress separate from product qualification.

Required profile

• Experience in semiconductor or advanced-packaging sourcing, vendor qualification and risk management.
• Ability to evaluate supplier capability, change control, continuity and to build total-cost comparisons that include yield and qualification.
• Familiarity with OSAT, foundry or equipment-vendor relationships and equipment service negotiations.
• Knowledge of export, IP, contractual interfaces, substrate and material sourcing, and supplier capacity planning.
