Structural Engineer – Design Reviewer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer – Design Reviewer to support a major highway infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will review structural designs prepared by the Design‑Build Contractor and ensure they meet project requirements, international standards, applicable codes, and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate the design of bridges, underpasses, overpasses and similar highway structures for compliance with the DBF contract.
• Verify that all design documents adhere to international standards, local codes and the specific requirements of the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of cumulative civil engineering experience, including at least 10 years in final design of highway road structures such as bridges, underpasses and overpasses.
• Experience on at least two similar highway road design projects in a design‑review capacity.
• Preferably employed full‑time by the PMC for at least two years.
• Fluent written and spoken English; gender‑neutral eligibility.
