Structural Engineer – Site Supervisor

About the role

The role involves supervising the construction of structural works for a major highway and road infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will ensure that all works are carried out in line with approved designs, technical specifications, contract requirements, quality standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise structural works during construction, including bridges, retaining walls, overpasses and underpasses.
• Verify that all activities comply with the DB Contract, technical specifications and the approved detailed design.
• Monitor quality and safety standards on site and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve any issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with expertise in large concrete structures or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of cumulative civil engineering experience, including at least 6 years on structural elements such as bridges, retaining walls, overpasses and underpasses.
• Experience in a similar capacity on at least two projects involving concrete or steel structures of comparable nature.
• Preferably employed full‑time by the PMC for at least two years, with at least one year of international experience in developing countries.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory).
