Programme and Policy Officer – Evidence & Reporting

About the role

The World Food Programme in Timor‑Leste is seeking a Programme and Policy Officer to lead evidence‑based programming and high‑quality reporting for its Country Strategic Plan 2026‑2030. The role supports the Government of Timor‑Leste in achieving sustainable food security and nutrition outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and synthesize evidence to inform programme design and policy decisions.
• Prepare timely, accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors and partners.
• Support the development and revision of policies, guidelines and strategic documents.
• Coordinate with national authorities, UN agencies and NGOs to ensure alignment with national development priorities.
• Monitor implementation progress against the Country Strategic Plan and contribute to performance reviews.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in evidence‑based programming, monitoring, evaluation or reporting within a humanitarian or development context.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a multicultural, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
