Customer Service Cashier (M/F)

About the role

Timor Port S.A., a subsidiary of the AGL Group, is looking for a Customer Service Cashier in Dili. The Cashier receives and processes cash payments from customers for port services, issues official receipts, keeps accurate cash records and ensures collections are reconciled and deposited according to company procedures, AGL Group internal control requirements and Timor-Leste regulations. The position is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments for port services, ensuring invoice accuracy.
• Issue receipts and record transactions accurately in the IPAKI system.
• Maintain and safeguard cash and payment documents throughout the day.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare payment reports.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department for cash deposits and recordkeeping.
• Keep accurate records of receipts, deposits and reconciliations.
• Report payment discrepancies or system issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and cash-handling standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience in cashiering, customer service, cash handling or a similar role.
• Basic understanding of cash management, payment processing and reconciliation.
• Honest, reliable and able to keep confidential cash and financial records.

Required skills

• Good numerical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company systems such as IPAKI.
