Operations Assistant – Timor Leste Resident Mission

About the role

Join the Asian Development Bank’s Timor‑Leste Resident Mission as an Operations Assistant. You will support the mission’s daily administrative functions and contribute to the effective management of technical assistance and loan projects that drive sustainable development in the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, format and submit correspondence and documents for supervisors in line with ADB standards.
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications, ensuring timely distribution.
• Maintain supervisors’ calendars, arrange travel, visas and logistics for mission staff.
• Coordinate meetings, disseminate materials, take minutes and archive records for easy retrieval.
• Assist with the administration of technical assistance and loan projects, including consultant recruitment, claim processing, budget monitoring and preparation of completion reports.
• Support e‑Operations and other IT system enhancements used within ADB.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, social sciences, business studies or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience; experience in international multilateral or bilateral agencies is desirable.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and the local language.
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks and analyses.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with culturally diverse teams.
