International Programme Coordinator – Dili, Timor-Leste (P-3)

About the role

The International Programme Coordinator (IPC) will be based in Dili and report directly to the UNFPA Representative. The IPC provides programme‑wide technical coordination, supporting planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting for UNFPA’s 5th Country Programme (2026‑2030).

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme implementation and performance management across all thematic areas.
• Support quality assurance, policy advocacy and results‑based management.
• Maintain partnerships with government, UN agencies, development partners, civil society and local communities.
• Coach, mentor and transfer knowledge to national staff and implementing partners to improve programme management capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance to programme staff, UN volunteers and project teams.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in international development, public health, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in programme planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting in a multilateral or donor‑funded environment.
• Proven ability to work with government counterparts, UN agencies and development partners.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a commitment to UNFPA’s mission and values.
