Procurement Executive – Hardware & Building Materials

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to lead the sourcing and purchasing of hardware and building‑material products for our retail network in Dili. The role will ensure a reliable supply chain that meets both trade and domestic customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure hardware and building materials.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and develop new vendor networks.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/store teams.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to support projects and retail demand.
• Track purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on price trends and product availability.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Required profile

• Knowledge of procurement processes and expertise in sourcing hardware and building materials.
• Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and price benchmarking.
• Strong market research and data analysis skills to track emerging trends and opportunities.
• Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dili and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in the hardware or construction materials industry is a plus.
