Operations Manager (Dili, Timor-Leste)

About the role

Conservation International is seeking a collaborative and strategic Operations Manager to lead financial, human‑resources and administrative functions for its program in Dili, Timor‑Leste. Reporting to the Senior Director for Operations, Asia, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, donor compliance, and efficient operational processes that support the organization’s conservation mission.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee program budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis; identify corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain compliance with Conservation International policies, local regulations, and donor/grant requirements.
• Manage audits, implement audit recommendations, and safeguard financial assets.
• Administer grants and sub‑grants, ensuring alignment with donor expectations.
• Develop financial models to support strategic planning and fundraising proposals.
• Support HR initiatives, capacity‑building, and people‑management efforts.
• Drive continuous improvement of operational systems and processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and donor compliance within a non‑profit or international development context.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills, comfortable working with program leaders and global teams.
