Solar PV Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Inovar4 Lda is seeking a Solar PV Technical Support Engineer to join its Dili office. The role combines on‑site field service with technical assistance for customers, installers and partners across Timor‑Leste.

Key responsibilities

• Provide product testing, system troubleshooting and installation support for grid‑connected and off‑grid solar PV projects.
• Assist local customers, EPC contractors and distributors in resolving technical issues and improving system performance.
• Design and size PV system configurations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimisation guidelines.
• Deliver technical training, prepare FAQs, guides and other documentation for partners.
• Travel to remote sites, including overnight stays, to conduct installations, tests and site visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the solar PV industry.
• Strong analytical mindset, hands‑on attitude and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; fluent English.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours, weekends and remote locations when required.

Required skills

• Experience with TBB solar PV systems.
• Experience with Deye solar PV systems.
