About the role
The Small Grants Programme Assistant will support the implementation of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme in Timor‑Leste. Working under the UNDP Country Office, the incumbent will contribute to the delivery of grants that address biodiversity, climate change, land degradation and other environmental priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review and processing of grant applications and agreements.
- Maintain accurate grant databases, track budgets and monitor disbursements.
- Support field monitoring visits and compile progress reports for donors and partners.
- Coordinate communication between UNDP, implementing NGOs, community groups and the GEF Secretariat.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, trainings and stakeholder meetings.
Required profile
- University degree in environmental studies, development studies, international relations or a related field.
- Experience in grant administration, project coordination or programme support, preferably in an international development context.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Required skills
- Proficiency in standard office software for data entry and document preparation.
