Senior Python Engineer – AI Content Review (Remote)

About the role

SME Careers is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to work remotely on an hourly‑paid contract. You will evaluate AI‑generated Python solutions, produce high‑quality reference implementations, and craft clear, step‑by‑step technical explanations that help improve leading AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess AI‑generated Python code for correctness, quality, performance, and alignment with prompts.
• Identify logical, architectural, or methodological errors and provide detailed feedback.
• Fact‑check technical information and create exemplary reference solutions.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses, focusing on reasoning quality and implementation soundness.
• Develop prompts and responses that guide AI learning across diverse topics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with extensive production‑level Python work.
• Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, system design, and performance optimization.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1) and Chinese (C1) proficiency.

Required skills

• Python language, standard library, and common ecosystems (web frameworks, data tooling, backend services).
• Version control systems (e.g., Git).
• CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
• Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Code review and mentoring experience.
