Highway Engineer – Design Reviewer

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Highway Engineer – Design Reviewer to support a major highway infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will review and verify highway design submissions, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review geometric design of the highway road.
• Assess earthworks, pavement structure, foundation and slope stabilization designs.
• Evaluate landscape works, road signs, markings, traffic lights and related structures for compliance with the DBF contract.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on highway roads.
• Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 10 years in final highway road design for construction.
• Experience on at least two similar highway road design projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
