Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist – Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Team Leader – Resident Engineer / Site Supervisor to support the delivery and supervision of a major highway infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will assist the Team Leader in managing construction supervision activities and ensure that all works comply with approved designs, technical specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader in overseeing construction supervision activities for a major highway project.
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, contracts, quality and H&S standards.
• Supervise soil investigations during construction and review soil treatment, selection, and slope stabilization measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, preferably with postgraduate study in geology or geotechnical engineering.
• Minimum 20 years cumulative experience in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology, including at least 10 years in highway or large‑road construction supervision.
• Experience on at least two similar highway road projects in a supervisory capacity.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; full‑time PMC employment of at least two years is preferred.
