Engineering Manager

About the role

Frontline Data Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team of 8‑12 software engineers. You will drive high‑quality, predictable delivery while shaping technical direction and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and mentor engineers through regular 1:1s, career planning, and inclusive leadership.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, coach the team on Scrum practices, and improve delivery flow and predictability.
• Identify and remove blockers, manage cross‑team dependencies, and keep engineering momentum strong.
• Oversee sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and capacity management to meet business objectives.
• Participate in code and architecture discussions, champion best practices, and ensure quality, security, and reliability standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience coaching and developing engineers and building high‑performing, inclusive teams.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years as a senior or principal engineer.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading remote technical teams.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, and delivery of complex software projects.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional alignment and stakeholder management.
