Communication Analyst – Dili, Timor-Leste

About the role

UN Women is seeking a Communication Analyst to support its office in Dili, Timor‑Leste. Reporting to the Head of Office, the analyst will help design and implement communication and advocacy strategies that raise the profile of UN Women’s work among partners, media and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute communication and outreach/advocacy strategies and plans.
• Conduct communication needs assessments for projects, programmes and corporate initiatives, ensuring a gender perspective.
• Integrate communication, advocacy and outreach components into project proposals and programme documents.
• Monitor and analyse print and social media coverage and prepare analytical reports.
• Coordinate UN Women and UN system corporate and local campaigns, special events and advocacy activities.
• Develop and disseminate advocacy materials, including briefing notes, press releases and article drafts.
• Identify information opportunities, platforms and partnership options to amplify UN Women messages.
• Manage translation, adaptation and localisation of communication products.

Required profile

• Reports to the Head of Office and works closely with Programme, Operations and technical teams.
• Collaborates with staff of other UN agencies, government officials, media, donors and civil‑society partners.
• Demonstrates understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment issues.
