Blender Specialist

About the role

SME Careers is looking for a remote Blender specialist to create realistic, challenging tasks that help train AI agents to use professional 3D software. You will design task briefs, record expert demonstrations, and define clear success criteria so that AI models can learn from high‑quality examples.

Key responsibilities

• Author production‑realistic Blender tasks with objective, verifiable outcomes.
• Record end‑to‑end expert demonstrations using provided capture tools.
• Document each workflow step in clear professional English.
• Define verification rubrics and intermediate milestones for each task.
• Review and quality‑check peers’ recordings and success criteria.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of professional experience as a Blender‑focused 3D artist (studio, freelance, or contract).
• Proven proficiency in production‑level Blender: modeling, clean topology, modifiers, UV unwrapping, materials/shading, lighting, and rendering in Cycles or EEVEE.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts for topology, shading, normals, scale, and non‑manifold geometry.
• Ability to work on Windows 11, Ubuntu (X11) or macOS with a capable machine for Blender and screen recording.
• English proficiency at least B2 with clear written communication.
