About the role
The Individual Contractor will provide day‑to‑day coordination, administrative, operational and programme support to the Associação Empresarial das Mulheres de Timor‑Leste (AEMTL) under the International Trade Centre (ITC) – AEMTL cooperation framework. Based in Dili and working from home, the contractor will be responsible for preparing monthly activity reports, maintaining implementation calendars, updating the member database and supporting outreach, training logistics and market‑linkage follow‑up for the assignment period 15 Oct 2026 – 31 Jan 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Translate the ITC‑AEMTL workplan into concrete activities, set timelines and keep an up‑to‑date calendar of planned and completed tasks.
- Organise and follow up on workshops, trainings, business coaching sessions, study visits and trade fairs, handling logistics such as participant mobilisation, venue booking, material preparation, invitations and attendance tracking.
- Maintain records of coordination meetings between ITC and AEMTL, capture agreed actions, deadlines and pending items, and reflect progress and issues in the monthly activity reports (due 30 Oct, 30 Nov, 31 Dec and 31 Jan 2027).
- Update and maintain the AEMTL member database with information on location, sector, products/services, participation in activities and identified support needs.
- Conduct outreach to AEMTL members across all municipalities, especially women entrepreneurs outside Dili, and document contacts, participation and feedback.
- Compile information on market‑access and business‑linkage opportunities, including potential buyers, partners and trade events, and report follow‑up actions.
- Provide operational support for training and capacity‑building activities, including participant registration, documentation, feedback collection and post‑activity follow‑up.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in programme coordination, administrative or operational support for development or trade‑related projects.
- Ability to work independently as an embedded focal point within a non‑profit organization and to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of the Timor‑Leste context and women‑entrepreneurship is an advantage.
- Proven organisational skills with experience maintaining calendars, trackers and databases.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and to manage multiple tasks within tight reporting deadlines.
