Highway Engineer – Design Reviewer

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Highway Engineer – Design Reviewer to support a major highway infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will review and verify highway design submissions, ensuring they meet contractual requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review highway road designs, including geometric design, earthworks, pavement structure, foundations, slope stabilization, landscaping, road signs, markings and traffic signals.
• Verify compliance with the DBF contract, technical specifications and relevant standards throughout the design review process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on highway roads or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 10 years in final highway road design for construction.
• Experience on at least two similar highway road design projects and fluency in written and spoken English.
