Electrical Engineer – Design Reviewer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Design Reviewer to support the design review and technical assurance of a major highway infrastructure project in Timor‑Leste. The successful candidate will review electrical designs, verify compliance with project requirements, international standards, safety regulations and client expectations, and provide constructive feedback to the design team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of electrical installation designs, distribution networks and public street‑lighting systems for the highway project, ensuring alignment with the DBF contract and applicable standards.
• Identify non‑conformities, propose corrective actions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues promptly.
• Prepare detailed review reports, maintain design documentation, and support technical assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of cumulative engineering experience, including at least 5 years focused on design of electrical installations and distribution networks for highway or large‑scale road projects.
• Demonstrated involvement in at least two comparable highway road design projects in a design‑review capacity.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; ability to work effectively with local and international stakeholders.
