Program and Finance Associate

About the role

The UNV Program and Finance Associate will support UNFPA’s programme financial performance, budgeting, reporting and logistical coordination in Dili. Working under the International Operations Manager and the UNV Project Manager, the role ensures financial transactions comply with UNFPA rules and contributes to effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor programme financial performance, detect over‑ or under‑expenditure and propose remedial actions.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, ensure transactions follow UNFPA financial rules, and improve internal controls.
• Produce financial reports for implementing partners, reconcile eFACE and FACE to CDRs, and clear direct payments timely.
• Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops and events, and coordinate HR, procurement and administrative inputs.
• Assist in managing project expenditures, budget revisions and audit follow‑up.

Required profile

• Six years of relevant experience in administration, finance or office management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Public Administration or a related field.
• Fluent English and working knowledge of Indonesian; Tetum is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with current office software applications.
• Experience using web‑based management tools.
• Knowledge of ERP financial systems.
