Paralegal Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a Paralegal Subject Matter Expert to work remotely on an hourly contractor basis. You will review AI‑generated legal support responses, create high‑quality paralegal content, and provide detailed feedback that improves the reasoning and accuracy of AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content, including prompts, document templates, checklists, research summaries, and drafting examples.
• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated legal responses for correctness, clarity, formatting, and procedural usefulness.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, confidentiality risks, and bias, ensuring reliability across legal support use cases.
• Provide precise written feedback, identify errors in terminology, procedural steps, document structure, issue spotting, and citation handling.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field; certification a plus.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm, in‑house, or public sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of legal workflows such as intake, fact gathering, drafting, version control, and matter organization.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research and summarize authorities (cases, statutes, regulations) accurately.
• Familiarity with litigation or transactional processes, exceptional attention to detail, and C1‑level English proficiency.
• Comfort handling confidential information and delivering consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow.
• Prior experience with AI data training, annotation, document QA, or editorial review is strongly preferred.
