Medical Specialist SME – Remote AI Content Reviewer

About the role

This remote, hourly contractor position is for board‑certified or board‑eligible medical specialists who will act as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for AI‑generated clinical content. You will review, fact‑check, and improve AI responses, ensuring they are accurate, safe, and clearly explained.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers for clinical topics within your specialty.
• Evaluate AI‑generated clinical responses for correctness, safety, clarity, and relevance.
• Identify and document errors in diagnosis, risk stratification, test interpretation, and treatment planning.
• Provide written feedback, model solutions, and rate multiple AI outputs based on reasoning quality.
• Test AI outputs for bias, unsafe recommendations, and reliability across patient populations.

Required profile

• MD or DO (or equivalent) with completed specialty training and board eligibility or certification.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑training clinical experience in a hospital, outpatient, academic, or community setting.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills, including differential diagnosis, triage, red‑flag recognition, and escalation pathways.
• Deep knowledge of disease processes, guideline‑based care, and patient‑safety considerations.
