Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health Advisor (Consultancy)

About the role

The Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) Advisor will support the ACHIEVE Timor Leste project by designing and implementing interventions that reduce maternal and neonatal mortality and improve child health outcomes. This consultancy is based in Dili and reports to the ACHIEVE Timor Leste Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement MNCH interventions aligned with national and global standards.
• Provide technical oversight of all clinical aspects of the program, ensuring training and community engagement are evidence‑based.
• Coordinate with government counterparts and local actors to strengthen primary healthcare facilities and community health volunteers.
• Build capacity of frontline providers to deliver integrated nutrition and MNCH services.
• Collaborate with Palladium’s Technical Director or designate to ensure alignment with broader project goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maternal, neonatal, and child health programs.
• Experience delivering capacity‑building and technical assistance in low‑resource settings.
• Familiarity with national and international MNCH guidelines and standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government and consortium partners.
