Insurance Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Subject Matter Expert to join our remote contractor network. In this hourly position you will evaluate AI‑generated insurance responses, create high‑quality reference content, and provide detailed feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training prompts and gold‑standard outputs covering coverage analysis, claims scenarios, underwriting decisions, and policy communication.
• Evaluate, rank, and compare AI responses for accuracy, completeness, clarity, regulatory compliance, and reasoning quality.
• Identify and document errors in policy interpretation, coverage triggers, exclusions, endorsements, and terminology.
• Fact‑check technical insurance information and write clear explanations and model solutions.
• Test AI outputs for bias, misleading guidance, or inappropriate certainty and validate reliability across use cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in insurance (claims, underwriting, brokerage, actuarial support, risk management, compliance, or operations).
• Strong understanding of policy structure, endorsements, limits/deductibles, and coverage triggers across one or more lines (e.g., P&C, commercial, auto, homeowners, liability, health, life).
• Ability to evaluate decisions for internal consistency and to spot missing facts, incorrect assumptions, or unsafe recommendations.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency and excellent written communication skills.
• Self‑directed, reliable, and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow.
