Full Stack Engineer (Node.js & React) – Remote Contractor

About the role

SME Careers is looking for a remote Full Stack Engineer with strong Node.js and React expertise. You will work on an hourly‑paid contractor basis, reviewing AI‑generated code, system designs, and technical explanations, and producing high‑quality reference implementations and step‑by‑step reasoning for complex engineering problems.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated full‑stack code for correctness, security, performance, and scalability.
• Identify issues in API design, authentication/authorization, data modeling, React rendering, and Node.js runtime behavior.
• Write detailed reference answers, prompts, and explanations that demonstrate best practices.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses, providing feedback to improve model accuracy.
• Fact‑check technical information and ensure AI outputs are safe and reliable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience building production web applications with Node.js and React.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for both backend and frontend codebases.
