Compliance & Regulatory Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Compliance & Regulatory Subject Matter Expert to join our AI data services team on an hourly, remote contractor basis. You will evaluate AI‑generated compliance content, create gold‑standard policy outputs, and provide precise feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed AI training prompts and gold‑standard compliance deliverables such as policies, control descriptions, monitoring plans, risk assessments, and regulatory summaries.
• Evaluate, rank, and refine AI responses to enhance correctness, clarity, defensibility, and practical usefulness.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe guidance, misleading certainty, and bias; validate reliability across diverse scenarios.
• Provide written explanations, fact‑check regulatory claims, and rate multiple responses based on reasoning quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Law, Finance, Risk/Compliance, Public Policy, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in compliance or regulatory roles within regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, tech/privacy, insurance, energy, etc.).
• Strong command of risk‑based compliance programs, control design, monitoring/testing, issue management, remediation tracking, and documentation standards.
• Proven ability to interpret regulations and translate them into actionable policies, procedures, and operational controls.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency and excellent written communication skills.
• Self‑directed, reliable, and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow.
